capturing video from firewire

Dear Friends,

A silly question. I captured a film from DV. Where are the files stored? Noting is displayed in Kdenlive in the project tree after capture.

Kind regards,
Jean-Michel

Could anyone be so kind to explain me how to capture DV files within Kdenlive ?
i have to run Kino, I would prefer Kdenlive directly.

Where are the resulting capture files? I cannot find them.

hey, you still haven't confirmed my assumption ;)

I still guess you have dvgrab < 2.x , right.

Under normal circumstances (dvgrab 2.x) there should open a window (after capture process is finished) that let you choose which files should be remain on disc IIRC.

You are right, Dvgrab 1.8-2 is installed (Debian SID).
Dvgrab 2.1 :
