Capturing video with a video grab cable from a VCR

Hi, I am trying to capture video from a VCR via a video grab cable into Kdenlive, without any luck.
I am using a GrabBeeX+ unit which plugs into USB.
Can anyone please tell me if this is possible and how to achieve this, Kdenlive do not show this capture option.
I eagerly await any answers.

does your GrabBeeX+ unit come with Linux drivers? Your problem is probably that the device is not supported under Linux. YOu could try the devices web site to see.

Most action happens in Kdnen live after you have captured your video. Kdenlives video capture features are fairly limited.
