Clip and Transition monitor are developed in-house by J-B-M using SDL right?
What about reusing some more established video player like Noatumn, or KMPlayer, KPlayer, Kaffeine as a monitor component.
Some implements KDE KPart interface let's utilize it.
This could make development more efficient, less work in this area for JBM.
CM seems to be easy.
I don't know how data are pushed for TM, some kind of raw video pipe?
