To install a binary package of Kdenlive 0.7.8 on any distro you can install nix (http://nixos.org/nix/) and use the following command:
$ nix-env --install kdenlive
naturally, this will install all the required dependencies for you too. The nix package manager will not interfere with the host os packages at all, so it is a convenient way to install Kdenlive on any distro which doesn't have the required versions of kde/qt libraries etc.
