multiple audio

sorry to bother , but i'm new to video editing and can't figure something out, (general editing)

I have a kdenlive project

track 1: video track
track 2: Audio - voice over track
track 3: Audio - music bed track

when I play, I see the video but I can only hear one audio track. when I mute the one I'm hearing, I hear the other.
If I "swap" the order in the track list, I hear the other track.

basically, I can only hear whichever track is on "top" in the track list

Is this normal? if so, what do I do to hear and mix both?

Thanks in advance

Re: multiple audio

Did you put the audio tracks to video tracks? By default Kdenlive shows up with 5 tracks, of which the lower two are pure audio tracks and the upper 3 are video tracks.

Try to put the audio into the audio tracks and see, if it mixes up correctly - it should.

Edit: Oh, well - just test this at home... With Kdenlive 0.9 it does not matter where I place the audio clips - on a video track or audio - I alwys get the two audio tracks mixed together. It is even mixed with the audio from my topmost video clip on track Video 1. So it must be another problem...

I had the same problem, and adding an empty audio track between the two tracks I wanted to be mixed seemed to work. Don't know why, though.
