Optimizing color temperature, brightness, exposure, etc. automatically

Is there a way to optimize a (camcorder) video automatically, eg. with color balance, brightness, under exposure, etc, similar as it is available in image editing programs?

OK, I'll think about porting this:

http://www.ipol.im/pub/algo/lmps_simplest_color_balance/

as a Frei0r plugin.

But don't hold your breath, I am SLOW....
