Rendering to Dual Audio Tracks for Karaoke and Cantonese/Mandarin films.

I need to produce a dvd or mpg that has two languages available so that I can switch
the language back and forth during playback.

I've been researching kdenlive to find out if it will do what I need it to do. It seems
to work well for getting the lip sync issues sorted out from the source files - but I am
unable to complete the final step which is generating the dual audio output file. Instead,
the two audio tracks are combined into a single track.

* Is there a way of achieving this using kdenlive?
* Is there a workaround?
* Will it ever be possible?

I use ubuntu maverick, and am quite happy to mess around with shell scripts if that is the
solution.

This is currently not possible in Kdenlive, but easy to implement. I will try to include this feature in the next version.

What you have to do is render your dvd file in Kdenlive with only one audio track (you can mute the other audio track). Then, render only the second audio track using wav as export profile.

After that you might try using another program to create the dvd.

Will keep you informed when I get it running in Kdenlive.
