[Solved] drkonqi quit unexpectedly

Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro5,3
Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo
Processor Speed: 2.66 GHz
Snow Leopard 10.6.8

I'm new to all of this and can't figure out where to go from here.
I think I followed all the download instructions as directed.

However: sudo chown -R $USER ~/Library/Preferences/KDE
chown: /var/root/Library/Preferences/KDE: No such file or directory

Here is my console information:

not clear to me what yoy are tying to do. Install, Capture, edit ?

I can't start kdenlive, because it launches along with drkonqi which crashes before it opens.
I copied the information from Console that comes up when i try to launch.
I also included the error in the first post installation step from Terminal.
I'd like to figure out how fix this problem and launch kdenlive.

Well getting kdenlive to run on a mac is - as they say - not for the faint hearted.

Have you looked at this thread?

This post is recent http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/feedback-about-kdenlive-mac-os-x?page=3#co... showing someone trying to to the mac instal. You could follow that thread and see how it goes.
