Sound / Video de-synchronisation while rendering in Theora.

Hi folks,

I'm tryind to render a project in Ogg Theora format, but I'm facing an issue with the exported result : the video is unsynchronized with the audio over the time.

My viedo is 3mn long, exporting to various other format works well.

But while exporting to Theora, the video now lenght only 2:40, and while the sound speed does not change, the video seems to be speed up a bit leading to desynchronisation between audio and video, anc cutting the end of the audio at the end of the viedo track.

Another strange point is that if I select the "Timecode Overlay" when rendering, there is no more desynchronisation... and the length is fine (3mn).

I'm on ubuntu linux 10.04, kdenlive 0.7.7.1

Any Idea?

Re: Sound / Video de-synchronisation while rendering in Theora.

I have the same problem with a .avi-file. A fairly long video - 29min/250mb, but it works perfectly in VLC. I am trying to cut out a two minute portion of the middle of the video and render it, but while the audio seems to be correct and also renders correct, the video lags and shows footage from the beginning of the file in slow-motion. How do I troubleshoot this? Could there be something with the graphic card? Is my system not up to it? How do I find out? I'm also in linux 10.04 and kdenlive 0.7.7.1.

Maybe transcoding helps?
