Strange effect

Hello,

I load my clips (from my sanyo fh1 hd camcorder) and put them into the timeline. Then I add the dissolve transition and play it. Everything shows fine in the Project monitor but the part with the Dissolve transition is strange (see the attached image).

I'm using opensuse 11.2/kde4.3.5/qt4.6.2 with latest git mlt and latest svn kdenlive.

After rendering, all is fine.

Looks like a seeking artifact. Make sure that you have a recent FFMpeg version, because that might fix the issue.

Yes, it is artifacts from not decoding from a key frame. I recommend that you transcode it to DNxHD.

That works. But it requires a lot more space. Is it in the near future possible to edit avchd without problem? Or have other/extra features more priority?

Is it possible that everything just magically works perfectly in the future? I do not have this problem when editing AVCHD today.

Freddy,
I would say try the official .7.7.1 and see if that helps things. Since DDennedy is not seeing an issue today, it may be worked out.

I know its frustrating, but it seems you are willing to be a little patient to wait for features, and are justing looking for a roadmap. Did you check in mantis about anyone else having problems?
