Summary0001047: relative resource paths / exporting a kdenlive project
DescriptionSee discussion on forum:
http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/relative-resource-path-how-export-kdenlive-project [^]

Resources in a kdenlive project file are referenced using absolut paths. Hence renaming the directory containing the project file and the resources/media files results in an corrupt project. A project cannot be exported so that it is readable by another user right away.

Suggestion: make the resource paths relative or provide some sort of an export functionality. Maybe even an export of the whole stuff to a .gz file.

I would really appreciate such feature to make the Kdenlive projects portable (I mean ability to move project from one computer to another).

Here's another relevant discussion - http://www.kdenlive.org/forum/relative-paths-project-file [^]

see archive project function, + if your clips are not found at opening, kdenlive can find them if you give it the tree to search into
