(0003988) nekkar (reporter) 2009-09-24 14:21	Removing the "setAttribute(Qt::WA_DeleteOnClose);" in constructor DvdWizard::DvdWizard() doesn't make it crash anymore, even after lots of testing. To make kdenlive easily crash, I changed this function to: void MainWindow::slotDvdWizard(const QString &url, const QString &profile) { for(int i=0; i < 100; i++) { DvdWizard *w = new DvdWizard(url, profile, this); w->exec(); w->close(); } } Every time you close the dialog, it pops up again, and, be sure, it crashes at the second or third "closing" on my system I think the problem here is that some threads or whatever is initialized from this dialog, but when you close it, the dialog gets deleted. This causes the other allocated objects to not find their parent (or something like this, just trying to guess...)

The correct one is this: void MainWindow::slotDvdWizard(const QString &url, const QString &profile) { for(int i=0; i < 100; i++) { DvdWizard *w = new DvdWizard(url, profile, this); w->exec(); } } It takes a little bit more to reproduce this bug.. you have to close at least 3 or 4 times the dialog (or more). Anyway, this bug remains reproducible and all I said before is still true. Removing the "Qt::WA_DeleteOnClose" doesn't make it crash again anymore.

(0003997) nekkar (reporter) 2009-09-25 17:27 edited on: 2009-09-25 17:28	Removing the: m_monitor->start(); (in constructor DvdWizardChapters::DvdWizardChapters() ) doesn't make it crash anymore. Going a little bit more into the code, in Render::start(), the line if (m_mltConsumer->start() == -1) if commented out doesn't make kdenlive crash anymore. Seems like a problem with the integration between MLT and kdenlive. I don't have the time to look further into this, nor the knowledge of these two technologies, but I hope that this could be of any help for you. BTW, I can reproduce this bug without troubles, so feel free to ask me to test any patch..

Just realized that after having opened the second page of the DVD wizard, if then I press cancel all is ok. But If now I click on the project monitor, kdenlive crashes.. Here is the backtrace.. The strange thing is that I can't reproduce this anymore.. Maybe this was caused by me clicking two times.. The first on the close button and the second one on the monitor? Not sure at this point.. Isn't there an easy way to make some kind of a test? Now that all this was moved at the second page is not so easy to test it.
