| Description | Hi, actually it is not possible to move very short clips in a long project, because only the tool to move the crop start is available and sometimes also this one to move the right edge, but not the hand to move the whole clip. One solution is to zoom in first, but then it is very unpractical to move the clip over a loooong distance (e.g. 10 minutes), because the timeline scrolls very slow... For example allow to scroll when moving... and move not with drag and drop but with select (left mouse clic) and release (left mouse clic again). Somewhat like pan during moving in Autocad ;) |

Well... I just noticed that what i described works (on version 0.7.6). Follow this: 1) zoom in on your short clip in the timeline 2) hold left clic on the clip with the mouse 3) holding left clic zoom out. It is possible with ctrl-mousewheel 4) holding left clic move the small clip on the area you need it 5) zoom in if necessary, release the left clip when you are satisfied 6) eventually repeat this for fine positioning. Nevertheless a nice feature would be to clic to select the move, and clic again to release. I can imagine this with a "selector": a small (blue) square that appears in the middle of the visible part of a clip selected in the timeline. When clicking this square, it change of colour (becames red), and sticks to the mouse pointer, until next left mouseclic. So it is not needed to hold left mouseclic when zooming. See attachment for an example of small blue square "selector". Look at the bottom of the audio track - the selector would be better placed on top i think. Ask if you don't undestand. |

Another (easy) solution would be to use ctrl-x (cut) and ctrl-v (paste). At the moment only ctrl-c (copy) and ctrl-v are implemented, and constitutes a working workaround. |
