| Summary | 0001356: Slideshow transitions are wrongly rendered | ||||||||||||
| Description | Whenever I try to create a slideshow with several photos with dissolve or wipe transitions, I can see that the transitions are in bad place (sometimes their duration is too small, other times there is no transition at all, or transition starts too late or ends too soon) And, if I use photos with different proportions mixed (2:1 and 1:2 in my case), when there is no transition, the photo 1:2 appears with different zoom than when is inside the transition. And, if you place a slideshow in a track, and after this you try to change the slideshow transition configuration, kdenlive will crash after saving. | ||||||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. Create a folder with several photos (mines are a mix of 1200x600 and 600x1200) 2. Open kdenlive and create a project for 768x576 4:3 PAL. 3. Add an slideshow with the new created folder. 4. check dissolve transition with a duration of 4 seconds, 0 frames. 5. check wipe with type clock.pgm. Add a bit of smothness. You should have 5 seconds for each photo, and 3 for each transition. You'll notice that some transitions aren't played at all, and others are wrongly placed. Slideshow works better when the transition duration is less of a second (specified in frames) And all the photos should have a similar proportion. If you mix 2:1 photos with 1:2, you'll notice a something strange in the transitions. Finally, if you try to reconfigure the slideshow AFTER you placed inside a video track (for example, try to change from 3 secons of transition to 24 frames), kdenlive will always crash. | ||||||||||||
| Additional Information | This bug has been reproduced with Ubuntu Karmic Koala and Kubuntu for i386 using latest packages availiable from kdenlive page. I reproduced it in Debian Sid and64 with the package availiable there which is a developer version of the KDE4 branch of svn. | ||||||||||||
