| Description | Kdenlive will not install through Macports because it cannot find nepomuk. I cannot imagine why a video editing suite would require nepomuk (partly because I can't figure out what nepomuk really is). The feature request is to remove the dependency (by default or optionally, through some configure args). | ||||||||

there is a very good reason to depend on nepomuk: the dependency was first added to let clip descriptions being exported to the whole system, and now that nepomuk is becoming (is it?) a key component in the kde environment, it will let us (theoretically) do some other cute things therefore, i'll add a build time option to disable it (just like NO_JOGSHUTTLE), but i cannot guarantee that it will be maintainable over the centuries :) |

still in (since revision 4124), nepomuk is optional and only be used if found. |
