| Summary | 0001481: after "split audio" it's not possible to cut the clip | ||||||||
| Description | By using "split audio" on a clip, the audio is moved to a separate audio track, but then it's not possible to cut the clip (or join the audio and video track). The only way out of this is using "undo". Obviously the video and audio tracks are somehow related - I'd expect that "split audio" results in a completely separate audio track, so that it's possible to cut the audio and video tracks separately. Or maybe the tracks could be cut simultaneously (cutting one of them cuts also the other one at the same place), but now it's not possible to cut them at all. | ||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1. import an arbitrary video clip and place it into a video track 2. select 'split audio' from the context menu 3. select 'cut clip' on one of the tracks 4. none of the tracks is cut :-( | ||||||||
| Additional Information | I've noticed I can actually copy the whole video track to the audio track - this results in a separate audio track, but it seems strange and does not solve the 'not possible to cut' problems. | ||||||||

Ok, I have just realized I have to 'ungroup' the clips - then I can cut them independently. Anyway I still haven't found a way to 'unsplit audio' (except for 'undo' which is not a good option), and I believe it should be possible to cut grouped clips - all of them should be cut at the same place. Or maybe the 'cut clip' choice should be disabled in the context menu ... |
