|Summary||0001513: Ability to set start timecode value for sequence.|
|Description||It is not possible to set the start timecode value for the sequence. The sequence always starts at timecode 00:00:00:00.|
The user should be able to set this value. This is commonly used in broadcast to, for example, run 30 to 60 seconds of color bars and tone, and/or black before the timecode rolls over to the next hour value. The start timecode of the sequence is normally set to accommodate this 30 seconds so that the actual programming starts at the hour mark.
For example, an editor might:
1. Set the start timecode at 23:59:00:00 (for 29.97 NTSC video, the timecode should roll over after 23:59:59:29 to 00:00:00:00).
2. Then they put 50 seconds of color bars and tone, a 7 second countdown, and three seconds of black. (or similar - it depends on who and what the production is for)
3. This gives them 1 minute of pre-roll, and the program will start at exactly the 00:00:00:00 timecode mark.
