| Summary | 0001522: Composite transition keyframes are not relative but absolute | ||||||||||||
| Description | When you place a keyframe in the composite transition, and possibly other keyframeable effects and transitions, it is placed on that absolute frame. This might not seem like an issue until you on the main timeline resize the transition because you either want it longer or shorter. Usecase: The user creates a fade effect going from 100 to 0 opacity with keyframes at the start and the ending of the transition. He then decides that the transition is too short and makes it longer on the main timeline. The result is not as he may have taught, that the transition would become longer, but it stays the exact same length. Keyframes should instead either have relative positions inside the transitions, tough bare in mind when implementing this that a relative scale with only 100 positions is very limiting, when it comes to precision. A relative scale with 10^6 positions does not consume more memory but allows for much more detailed positioning. But even tough the underlying structure for the transition based on a relative keyframe system, the user should see an absolute form HH:MM:SS:FF , hour, minute, seconds, frame. | ||||||||||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Add a composite transition inbetween two videoclips. Add two keyframes to the start and the end of the transition. Shorten the transition on the main timeline. Your last keyframe will now look as if it were gone from the transition, since it is outside of the transitions timespan. | ||||||||||||
