Can you try playing a clip from command line: melt myclip.mpg (replace myclip.mpg by any clip you have) (melt is MLT's command line player, and MLT is the video framework used by Kdenlive). Does it play the clip? |

Might be a problem with your graphic card driver... Can you go to Kdenlive settings dialog and under the "Playback" tab, try to change the video driver to "X11" then restart Kdenlive. If it does not work, try to set it to "XVideo". Another thing to try is to disable the effects of your window manager. |
