Summary0001846: GNOME crashes when resizing user interface
DescriptionResizing the windows (dragging down from just above the timeline) works for a small amount, then gnome crashes and leaves me on the login screen.

I have an ATI Radeon 5870 running at 1920x1080
Steps To ReproduceNot sure if this is a GNOME issue, or resolution issue?!

Just open kdenlive and drag down the timeline (resize), clip monitor etc all start to increase in size, then GNOME hangs to a black screen and restarts to a login screen

Just an update to this, I reduced the window size of kdenlive to see what differences that made when resizing the timeline. The same crash occurred. Now, kdenlive starts in its smaller sized window and trying to enlarge it again crashes Gnome as before.

I can't get a log for this as per http://www.kdenlive.org/bug-reports [^] because any open windows are closed with Gnome restarting.

Anything else I can do to get logs, just let me know

With some more testing, found this issue to be related to the proprietary ATI driver provided via the "additional drivers" tool in Ubuntu. Removing the driver allows kdenlive to function as expected when resizing the window, still a bug though I guess

This is probably neither a kdenlive nor a Gnome issue, but the X server that is crashing. Check your X.org logs.
