0001879: Making changes to a title clip loaded from a saved file does not update the same clip in the timeline.

Description

I have an existing project which uses title clips created from within Kdenlive. I have also saved all the title clips as files. After upgrading to 0.7.9, I have found that when I right-click on a title in the Project Tree and select Clip Properties and then make a change to the text, the changes do not get updated in the clip on the timeline. This is not the way it behaved in 0.7.8. If I create a new clip in the project and then put it on the timeline, I can make changes to the clip properties and they do get reflected on the timeline. It seems to only affect title clips that are saved as files.

Steps To Reproduce

Start a new project.
Add a title clip from a saved Kdenlive video title file.
Add the clip to the timeline.
From the Project Tree view, right-click on the title clip and select Clip Properties.
Change some text and click OK.
Play or inspect the clip on the timeline, the updates are not there.

(0006127) j-b-m (administrator) 2010-11-27 23:27	Ok, I did the following (svn rev. 5123): When editing an added title file, Kdenlive now asks if you want to save the changes to the external title file, or to save only in project. If user decides to save to external title file, the original title file will be modified. If he only saves in project, the link between the external title file and the title will be broken, and the title will only be saved inside the project file. The issue should be fixed and user can now decide how to save his changes. Let me know if that seems ok to you.

It seems to me there are only two reasons for saving a title clip to a file. One would be to re-use that file in another project. This seems pretty straightforward and I don't see any issues with it. The other would be to maintain a version history. That way, if you became unhappy with all the changes you have made to a title, you could revert back to an earlier version by just renaming a previous backup file and Kdenlive would automatically read in the previous version. But it looks like there might be problems with the second scenario. Since a Kdenlive title clip has other properties besides text, like Duration and Animation, linking to an earlier version might cause problems in the current project. You would know better than I what kind of problems, if any, linking to an older file might have. If you don't think there are any, or they are minor, then I can see some benefit to having the ability to restore a previous version. But if it does have the potential to mess things up in the project, or if it just adds too much complexity, then I would be happy just leaving things the way they are in 0.7.8; i.e., no link between a title clip and the original file.
