|Summary||0001951: Timeline trim function|
|Description||It could be great to have a trim function acting on the whole timeline.|
We can leverage the existence of the rendering zone widget just above the timeline to implement such a feature. Then we can set a zone in the timeline and click a button to have all clips from all tracks cutted at the start and the end of the zone. Then the action will automaticcaly remove everything that is not in the zone.
Is this kind of feature have its place in Kdenlive ?

|Build/Install Method||3rd party package|
its hard to work out what the zone is for in the project monitor. I understand what it's for in the clip monitor.
if there was a 'cut zone' command that would be very useful. We could use the start/end to set the zone and then chop it from the timeline.
|orbspider's proposition sounds good to me.|
