Summary0002112: crash after adding audio to track and pressing Space to start/stop playback
DescriptionI have a large project with 667 images and 1 title. When adding audio tracks, moving marker to various points of audio file, and pressing the spacebar to play/pause, the app crashes.

"Reproducibility" list needs to have "most of the time" added. This bug is > sometimes and < always; fairly consistent, but not every time.

 Which MLT version are you using?
A fix for something similar to your crash was committed last week to MLT's git. Could you try to update to latest MLT to see if it fixes the crash?

The installed modules list in Kdenlive shows 0.7.0, too.

I'll have to see how much of a pain it is to compile the latest version from git. I haven't built anything on this machine nor done any C/C++ coding in a long time.

 I used Dan Dennedy's build script to update to 0.8.1. It built fine, but running kdenlive produced a dialog telling me that it couldn't run MLT properly. I renamed the kdenliverc file and ran it again. It seems this version has fixed things. I added an audio clip and was able to play/pause randomly without a crash.
