Summary0002477: crash when adding new tracks
Descriptionkdenlive crashes when ever I add new tracks to my project. Sometimes it crashes right away and sometime when I click in the timeline after adding a new track.
I tested a new project file and this does not happen, so I uploaded my project file so you can look into it.
Steps To Reproduceopen my project file then add a new track, sometime you have to click in the timeline then it crashes

 I cannot properly reproduce the problem without the clips. Can you please provide a backtrace? From a terminal, type:

gdb kdenlive
run

Kdenlive will start, then you can trigger the bug. When Kdenlive crashes, go to your terminal window and type:
thread apply all bt
Then press enter until you see the full data. Copy the log to a file and paste it here or attach it to the bug report

 kdenlive won't run from gdb

(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/kdenlive

 new git update allow me to run kdenlive from gdb and I have attachted a txt file with the info.

 Thanks, but the debug info is missing from your attached file. Once the program crashes, in the terminal you must type:

thread apply all bt

Then press enter until all debug output is printed, after that attach this info here

 new one uploaded gdb_debug.txt

edit: did you get a chance to figure out what was causing the crash?

edit2: updated kdenlive and mlt today and it crashes as soon as I open the project (it loads to a 100 percent, shows the items in the timeline, then crashes)

edit3: with git update my project no longer close after load and only the original behavior from this bug remains.

 I added kdenlive-20120207-153148.kcrash as I have the same problem, please delete if you want me to create a new issue.

 I just commited some changes in git master that seem to fix the problem, as well as several other issues with transitions not correctly updated. Can you please test?

 tested and now I can add tracks all over the place without a crash and I see
no problems caused to the rest of the timeline
