| Summary | 0002712: Specify framerate on render. | ||||||||||||
| Description | My video camera records in 50fps progressive. My projects are set up to equal the quality of the camera, so that videos that I render for archival purposes are as good as I can make them. However, I also share some of my videos sometimes, and to drop the framerate to 25fps I can drop bitrate and get much smaller videos that upload into youtube a lot faster. I know I can just change the Project profile to be 25fps, but this messes up timing of clips on the timeline. Outputting to dvd does drop the framerate, so it IS possible, but I don't like the drop in resolution. I would really like to be able to specify an output framerate in the output dialog. You should be able to add a "r=10" parameter in the render profile to get a 10 fps render. However, I understand that having a spinbox to easily force a framerate would be easier... |

I was not aware of this feature. Thanks for providing a workaround. -Evert- |

Hi there. Finally, I read this again, and tried it. One could not just add the r=25 to the profile, I had to make a favorite, and add it in there. Unfortunately, the rendered output just played twice as fast until the middle, where it just showed the last frame until the end of the clip. I rendered 25fps from a 50fps project, so it looks like this feature might need a little more thought, if you still want to implement it. Kind regards, -Evert- |
