| Description | Two noticeable issues when rendering with Kdenlive in 64-bit Arch: Output format for H264 lossless (slow or fast) is now *.mkv instead of the former *.mp4. When selected, he rendering crashes immediately after starting. Btw, the output format is still *.mp4 on the 32-bit build. File rendered to MPEG4 (I-frame only) was badly corrupted. Again, the error occurs only on the 64-bit build (Arch), not on my 32-build (Debian Squeeze). | ||||||||||||

As of 9/29 rendering to MKV completes with crashing. However, the resulting video file is corrupt. I've attached the project file, and I've uploaded a brief video sample to my Web site : http://linux-sound.org/video/titletest01.mkv [^] I've tested the output on three players (mplayer, VLC, xine) on two machines (32-bit Debian and 64-bit Arch). Again, this problem occurs only with the binaries built with the build script on my 64-bit Arch system, so it's possible I have a system component in need of an upgrade or replacement. However, I notice that the same day's build on my 32-bit systems still save the same target (lossless/HQ) as an MP4 file, not an MKV. |

Might be related to issue 0002764. Currently, rendering projects containing progressive video clips is broken due to an MLT regression. |

This issue appears to be resolved as of build 20121003. Tested on three systems with brief projects including only one video clip and one or two title clips. No audio. Rendering to Lossless/HQ "H.264 lossless slow", all systems rendered videos played correctly by mplayer and within Kdenlive itself. I notice that the output format for the rendering is MKV on my Arch 64 and Ubuntu 10.04 systems, but the same selection is rendered as MP4 on my Debian Squeeze system. All play correctly, so I'm not complaining. :) |
