I cannot reproduce either. Can you give us more infos:

Does it crash when you have no clip in timeline?
If it doesn't, what are the minimum elements required in timeline to reproduce the crash?

Also about your config: which window decoration are you using, and does enabling / disabling desktop effects (from KDE's system settings dialog) have an effect on the crash?

Yes, sure I may provide you all required information.

It crashes only with project in timeline. I tried with rather big projects, that have about 9 files, 4 of them takes 30 Gb with length about an hour. With single file it doesn't crash too. Also when I open projects there are notification, that some clips have unmatched length (I don't know how exactly translate it to English). Before update there also was notification but these projects were working perfect and don't crash on scaling project.

I'm using standart KDE effects. Disabling it doesn't affect crash.

Please let me know if I may provide more info for investigating this issue.

Cannot reproduce either.
OS here is Sorcerer Linu, arch x86_64.
Loaded project with 3 video and 2 audio channels, 1,5 hr full HD, scales smoothly from 13/13 to 0/13 without issue.

evorster, I've got not FullHD but AVI DV video (1 hour - 13 Gb). Also video in timeline is devided to numerous parts (about every 15-40 seconds and there are switching from 1 video channel to another with some effect). If projects were smaller I'll sent it...

in fact i would be interested to have your project file (only the .kdenlive file). Since the problem is in the drawing of timeline, we might be able to reproduce without the clips...

I installed a clean Ubuntu 12.10 in a virtual machine but still cannot reproduce. Wondering if this could be caused by a problem between Qt and your graphic driver. Can you tell us which graphic card / driver you are using?

I cannot reproduce it with Ubuntu 12.10 (upgrade and clean install) and Ubuntu Studio 12.10 either.

I've got AMD Radeon HD 6380G video card with fglrx 2:9.000-0ubun amd64. And yes, I'm using KDE desktop environment.

I just tested on a 64bit Ubuntu 12.10 and cannot reproduce. Report 0002871 suggests the issue is fixed in current git. Can you please test it?

Unfortunatelly, the problem is still here for me. I may made some video with bug reproduction.
Using kdenlive:0.9.3+git201 amd64

For new project kdenlive crashes on scalling only to 1/13 for others you can't scale less than to 4/13, on 3/13 it crashes. Maybe 13 is just an unhappy number?:)
