| Description | After rev. 2554, both effect stack and effect list have icons to indicate their type. However, custom effects does not. It would be trivial to add a third icon type to custom effects, however, it does not appear that there is any way to distringues between an audio or a video custom effect, so if one wants a custom audio and custom video icon added, that seems to require more changes to the code. I was a little confused by the wording. Is this a request for a new icon, or for code that disambiguates custom audio from custom video effects? |

Its both, I think. If the user should be able to distinguesh visually what type the custom effect is, there need to be a way in the format to distingues. Currently, there is not. (Its either video, audio or custom). However, an alternative is to leave it a "custom", and use the same icon for both a custom sound, and a custom audio effect. Actually creating the icon is also a task, but figuring out if we need two or one is enough should be done first :-) |

I'd be tempted to suggest that we'd have separate icons for each, but that if this requires more than minor code tweaking that the value is probably low enough to warrant just using the one icon. Assigning this to Acknowledged for developer feedback on the level of code required, and if anyone's interested in picking that up. I can likely provide icon(s) needed if no one else wants to. |
