0002951: KDenLive Crashes upon clicking "Render"

Description

KDenLive crashes before even bringing up the dialog for rendering a video. I recently reran the first-time set-up wizard, and everything checked out. It worked last week, and I'm unsure what might have changed between then and now.

Steps To Reproduce

1: Open a project or start a new project.
2: Click "Render".

Additional Information

My hardware specs:
8 GB of RAM
NVidia GeForce 8800 GTS
Core 2 Duo

I have no idea why this might work one week, but not the next.
