| Summary | 0002974: Choppy Audio and Artifacts with Rescale |
| Description | When scaling a video during rendering and using low bitrate audio (ie. 64kpbs), the audio in the rendered file stutters badly and is choppy. This occurs with both vorbis and AAC. It was tested with multiple players including VLC, Totem, and Mplayer. I extracted the audio from the resulting file and confirmed the problem with Audacious as well. Rescale is not usable like this. Upon increasing the bitrate (ie. 128kbps), the audio is smoother but there are many noticeable artifacts like pops and clicks. This does not happen when rescale is not used. |
| Steps To Reproduce | Render a video with audio bitrate at 64kbps and scale down to a lower resolution. |
