|Priority||normal||Severity||major||Reproducibility||have not tried|
|Platform||64 bit||OS||Kubuntu||OS Version||12.10|
|Target Version||Fixed in Version||0.9.6|
|Summary||0002990: project monitor shows completely false colors|
When clicking on a clip in the timeline which has effects on it and is composed (affine) with another clip, the project monitor shows this clip in false colors. Please see the screenshot attached for an illustration.
As soon as either no clip is selected in the timeline or other clip to which compositing (affine) is done, color display returns to normal.
|Steps To Reproduce||Place two clips on two adjacent tracks in the timeline. Add an affine translation to the top clip. Add "crop, scale, position" effect to both clips so that the top clip shows in the top half of the project monitor, and the bottom clip shows in the bottom half.|
Then select the top clip. Its colors in the project monitor turn into false colors.

I have this behaviour too. In my situation it is related to the composite transition. It only effects the display in project monitor. It does not effect the rendered file. But it is anoying when you are trying to preview your composite effects.
See http://userbase.kde.org/Kdenlive/Manual/Effects/Alpha_manipulation#Hint_for_previewing_the_alpha_manipulation_effects [^] for screen shot of what it looks like for me
|Should be fixed in git, required a non trivial change - hope it won't have side effects.|
|Ok, it was fixed when opening a document, now I also just fixed it when starting from blank...|
I have test this in
and it is fixed. This is really good. I always thought this issue was just my possibly strange set up.
But I can't get the wierd colours to display with composite transition / blue screen anymore.
J-B-M - anywhere you might predict their be side effects that you would like someone to test?
Installed latest git compilations package from sunab's svn-repo and can confirm that the bug seems to be gone.
Many thanks for fixing this!
|Can be set to resolved.|
|This issue can be closed, as it has been fixed for quite some time now.|
