|Summary||0003085: Speed effect from 1 to 10000%|
|Description||The slider of the speed effect interface offer the user to change the speed from 1 to 10000%|
I propose to reduce the upper limit from 10000 to 500%. Maybe can be adjusted also the lower limit.
|Tags||No tags attached.|
|Build/Install Method||Manual build from Git|
I routinely use 10000% speedups.
Did you know that if you right click on the slider you can choose a different type of mapping for the slider control? This might alleviate the issues you are having. Also, one can just type in the desired speed if you want to be precise.
10000% speed? really? I'm curious in in which situation you use it?
If this values are correct then the bug report can be closed.
If you have a video clip of one minute long that you only want to last one second, that is 6000% speed. If the clip started as two minutes, it's 120000% speed.
Take a video clip of a sunset... sunsets lasts a few minutes. Now speed that clip up till it only lasts a few seconds.
It's easy to get some really funky numbers in the speed application, as you can see, and unfair to remove it to people that actually use it from time to time.
Really, they have added in the scaling options to the context menu of the slider bars just to satisfy both our use cases. Just right-click on the slider bar, and pick one of the scaling options, each makes the slider more or less responsive to mouse movement.
|This bug can be closed, the explanation you have given is enough to better understand the slider behaviour.|
