Seem to me that the most intuitive way of having this work is for it to not just be stickied to one clip, but both. I'll explain what I mean by that: Say clip 1 is on track one and starts first. A bit later clip2 starts on track 2. The transition fills where they overlap. In this case you want the end of the transition to be sticky to the end of track 1. You also want the start of the transition to be stickied to the start of track 2. Presumably when a transition is stickied, any keyframes should scale accordingly. For a much easier to understand visual explanation, check out the file sticky_transitions.png, uploaded. I propose that this also be made default as it would help most average users do what they want faster, while power users could take it off easily with rightclick on transition -> "Unlock transition" or the default in Configure Kdenlive -> Misc ->"Lock new transitions by default" checkbox. |

hhmmm ... what should be moved, or not, should be specified by the user. I mean, when I select both clips AND the transition I expect that all 3 objects will be moved, when I drag them to another track. When I don't select the transition they logically don't will move... So, I vote to keep this contextual! Another thing would be to 'lock' something just to avoid unmeant movements... IMHO |
