| Description | Some video editors, like kino or windows move maker, automatically split imported videos to different clips, based on when the movie is cut (cam turn off and on) This feature is really useful and can save a few minutes when starting a new project. | ||||||||||||

If you are using a recent Kdenlive version, this feature is available in Settings->Configure Kdenlive->Capture->Automatic scene detection Should be enabled by default. You need dvgrab 2.0 or 2.1 for DV capture to work, and svn development version for DV and HDV (dvgrab 3.0 will NOT work). regards |

I just realised you mean splitting imported videos, not captured videos. So I reopen this issue. But I guess this can only be achieved on DV or HDV. WIll look into it... |
