This looks like a wishlist dependant on MLT keyframing to me, so I'm marking it as related to 0000336. Dan, feel free to change this if I'm wrong. |

It can be similar, but it is almost an important enough use case of its own to justify doing something special just for this. I think I partially addressed this (pan) within the composite effect a few months ago, and I have been itching to add the scaling part. Then, I have to see how well I can use it to address the common use case of making a slideshow more interesting. |

This first appeared in mlt 0.5.6 and kdenlive 0.7.8 was first release to require something newer than mlt 0.5.4. |
