Description

In Adobe Premiere, the transparency of the individual clips can be changed using a rubber-band control with keyframes. This makes it much easier to create transitions or make additional effects using two overlaying clips.

(0004588) feinar (reporter) 2010-01-27 21:10	"Rubber bands" controls gamma key on videotrack to make it opac, and thereby easily create fade in/crossfade/fade out. Works as level adjustment on audio track, to easy make fade in/out or adjust audio level (up & down), and crossfade between audio tracks. You'll find this function in Adobe Premier.

(0004589) ddennedy (developer) 2010-01-28 00:10	OK, I understand. Kdenlive has these, but I just do not call them rubber bands. Right now, these keyframe "curve" widget control whatever effect property is selected if it is key-framable. Kdenlive does not automatically composite tracks. You must add the Composite transition between the tracks to get to this. Then, I do not believe the keyframe curve widget is available yet for transitions - just effects/filters right now. Anyways, this is not the area that I work on, and maybe someone else will get around to this. Thanks for clarifying.
