Can't reproduce. Which Qt version do you have? Also please tell us which font & font size you used for the buttons

sorry,

i think its fixed. I'm not sure and have not retested it with 0.75.

I tried to add 4 mpeg2 movies, which were NOT rendered with setting DVD but with MPEG to an DVD-menu ... the result was the error above. I solved the problem by rendering it as VOB. Afterwards I used DVDMan for the Menu, so i can not say whats the problem.

Can I reopen the bug, if it is closed now?

I am also getting this error and would like to have it resolved. What does Qt have to do with the dvdauthoring and how do I find its version? I use the default 'Deja Vu Sans' font. When I change the background color to white and the font color to black, I get the above error, but it usually says ...

I'm getting an error in 64bit but it works in 32bit

Same error as first post in 64bit Ubuntu 8.10 kdenlive 0.7.6 from ppa

error in 64bit VitrualBox image from the site.

Works in 32bit Ubuntu 8.10 with 0.7.6 from ppa

DVD Wizard works in all 3 without a simple menu.

I just tried rev. 4190 and still get the same error (I originally got the problem in my packaged version 0.7.5). I am using Kubuntu 9.10 64 bit.

Hi, I have had this issue too. But, in my case it was solved by making sure that each chapter

1) None has "Play all"
2) None is repeated, trying to start the same timing

That solved it for me.

I have the latest Kdenlive from Debian Sid.

If there was a built-in check for these details, many bugs could probably be avoided.

I encountered this error using Kdenlive 0.7.6 on Fedora 11 64-bit. I was able to solve the problem by doing two things (either one alone was insufficient):

(1) Dropping the "Play all" item from the menu.
(2) Replacing my menu background photo with a 2-color background.

I built and installed Kdenlive revision 4246 from svn, and got the same behavior.

I tried simplifying the menu background image (using Gimp) by saving it without background color. I also tried converting it to indexed (with as few as 4 colors) or grayscale, but none of this helped.

In case it matters, I'm using NTSC 16:9 (720x480).

I also ran into this problem on Ubuntu karmic x86_64.

It no longer occurs with kdenlive-0.7.6+svn4299-0ubuntu0~karmic1 from the sunab/sunab2 PPA.

I have fetched revision 4305 from svn and have confirmed that it resolves the problems I had encountered (and reported above on 2010-01-24) with the 0.7.6 release. It is now possible to use a background photo and to have a "Play all" entry on the DVD menu without triggering an error.
