0000988: Crash whilst trying to select clips

Description

I switched to the Spacer tool and then tried to select a clip and then kdenlive crashed. I was working with .avi and .3gp files. I got the following output:

(0003538) hellocatfood (reporter) 2009-06-29 16:42	I should've added this before posting the bug report. This only happens when you select the spacer tool and then click on an empty space in the timeline. Clicking on a clip didn't cause it to crash for me
