Kdenlive 0.7.1 roadmap
- Spacer tool: add and remove space in timeline.
- Add or delete timeline track.
- Select on which track the transition will be applied.
- Cache video thumbnails on disk for faster project opening.
- Create a folder for each Kdenlive project to store thumbs(audio & video) and titles.
- Full AVCHD (Advanced Video Codec High Definition) support pending (in fact, this comes directly from ffmpeg). We hope that MLT will soon be multi-threaded to decode AVCHD on the fly on 2/4 core computers.
JMP: we are not going to convince serious Video users without dual-pass encoding. Dual-pass encoding exists in MLT, so it should be usable in Kdenlive.

Per discussion with users and developers, the release cycle will be around 1 or 2 months.

MLT and FFmpeg are extremely important for Kdenlive. Especialy in the following areas:
- Nvidia VDPAU hardware decoding for mpeg2/h264 and AVCHD streams.
