Fundraising 

From 6th to 10th of September 2024, part of the Kdenlive Team was in Germany to attend the annual KDE convention Akademy and used that opportunity of being together at the same location to have a sprint. It was good to meet face to face and to sit down and tackle some issues together. As many users have noticed, our 23.04.0 release didn't go as smoothly as planned. Several major regressions affected the release, resulting in a poor user experience. We are well aware that most users want stability above all else, and with our growing user base we really need to improve on that front. Read More

We launched our first Kdenlive fundraising campaign one week ago and we already collected almost two-thirds of the goal! We would like to thank everybody for their massive support. Moving forward, we will keep you posted on our progress and the development of the new exciting features/improvements we'll be adding to Kdenlive with the funds. Read More

With an ever growing code base Kdenlive has become harder and harder to maintain and to develop further. To drastically improve this situation we worked out a plan to refactor Kdenlive's code at the KDE developer sprint in Randa last summer.
