I downloaded Kdenlive and wasn't expecting much having played with a few other Linux editors. But man, I was literally shouting for joy when I found all the features I need to make a basic edit.
Comping form ULEAD Media Studio Pro on the windose platform, I found everything quite familiar, and soon got editing productively.
Well, here is the first video, its basically home video footage of from My trip to South Africa last year, it could probably use a music track under it to keep it moving along, but I think its acceptable.
I had to split my edit into two parts as I started running out of memory after about 10 minutes of edited footage - I only have 512Meg RAM - so I will be looking to upgrade soon.
