ffmpeg needs option "--enable-nonfree

Hi,

I don't know since which version, but at the moment it's necessary to add the option:

"--enable-nonfree" under Install Options >> Advanced >> ffmpeg options >> additional options.

Otherwise you will get (using the wizard) an error Unable to configure ffmpeg.

kdenlive on Mandriva Cooker

Build kdenlive on Mandriva Cooker, 05 22 2009

kernel 2.6.29.1-4mnb

ubuntu 8.04 and kdenlive 0.7.3

Kdenlive 0.7.3 fails to compile on ubuntu 8.04 (hardy) due to a missing kdelibs5-dev header file (kratingpainter.h).  The file is present in the 8.10 (intrepid) package.  Therefore, I assume you will have to compile kdelibs from source or try using a PPA like this one on 8.04.

kdenlive stable on Fedora 11 beta

I've been trying to track down why kdenlive is crashing on Fedora 10 (see bug 410)

I have tested building kdenlive on Fedora 10 with:
- i686
- x86_64
- using nVidia video (kmod-nvidia)
- using ATI video (fglrx)
- MLT_AVFORMAT_THREADS=1 (in builder wizard and kdenlive_start)
- compiling MLT, MLT+ and frei0r using CC=gcc34

The exact same bug exists with all tests.

I have then moved on to test Fedora 11 on x86_64.

Ubuntu Jaunty Beta, succesfull build+install using builder wizard

hi, here's how i built (seemingly mostly working) kdenlive on a minimal mixed intrepid/jaunty (upgraded from hardy via apt) ubuntu system. i come from debian, so i don't use many of the gui tools provided for package management in ubuntu. console freak. so, :

my /etc/apt/sources.list:

kdenlive compiled on kubuntu 9.04 beta

1 add medibuntu repository. #you can skip this

#userfull package #gnome
#sudo apt-get install  mencoder mplayer mozilla-mplayer xine-ui ubuntu-restricted-extras sox libsox-fmt-all  w32codecs libdvdcss2

#userfull package #kde
#sudo apt-get install  mencoder mplayer mozilla-mplayer xine-ui  kubuntu-restricted-extras kdemultimedia digikam  kmplayer kmplayer-konq-plugins  libsox-fmt-all  w32codecs libxine1 libxine1-ffmpeg

"Problem" with MLT

Hi,

I'm using kdenlive build wizard in the last version on my OpenSuSE 11.0. The installation is very easy and working without any problems.
I'm installing kdenlive in my own folder. Under start wizard I get the message that the MLT version is too old (0.2.4), even if I have installed the last version downloaded from SVN. See also attached picture.
So, I have also checked the MLT library installed in the main folder (/usr/lib etc.) - it's also 0.3.6.
What could it be?

Regards,
Rafael
