I love seeing bugfix releases like this!
Looking forward to the windows version download.
Keep up the good work guys.
Hi! I was wondering when the stable version for Windows is expected: maybe with the refactored 17.12 version? Thanks and keep up the good work!
Will the AppImage be ever updated or not?
Yes, see here: https://kdenlive.org/2017/09/kdenlive-development-and-upcoming-events/
AppImage 17.08.1 ????
still no 17.08
Kdenlive on Windows is what is convincing my friend to get into Linux, so I have you to thank for that. He just wasn’t interested until he used Kdenlive 🙂
🙂
Love this release. You fixed a bug that got onto my nerves. Thanks a lot for this.
But nevertheless, will I be able to download a Windows Version of this release? I don’t think of the source-code at this point.
A friend of mine using Windows was confused to hear that the linux version gets an update, while he wasn’t able to find an updated Windows Version.
However, keep up the good work!!!
Hopefully soon we will provide an updated Kdenlive version for Windows. Please keep in mind that we currently have very limited reasources and all efforts are focused in finishing the refactoring, which will take Kdenlive to the next level in terms of stability and features. Stay tuned!
I’m looking forward.
Thanks for the amazing work. Keep it up!!!
How and where can I download version 17-08-1? for Ubuntu.
Soon we will provide packages which are distro independant.
There is the frequently updated PPA for Ubuntu. Have a look into the download section of this website.
are you planing to release appimage or update ppa content?
I love using Kdenlive for my nature videos.
I look forward to the 17.12 release.
Apart from the UnitedRPMS release, do you also plan to update the Fedora Repositories, and also for CentOS 7, the latter still has 09 version?
I really appreciate all the hard work making this one of (if not the best) Open Source video editor out there. 🙂
Hi, please note that the packaging is provided by the distributions. The good news is that soon we’ll provide updated Snap/Flatpak/Appimage downloads.
really, still no appimage or PPA update.
Are you planing to produce one? Or should I try to build it myself locally?
There is no PPA because Ubuntu doesn’t have the required QT version. Maybe you could contact the mailing list and offer a hand in packaging the 17.08 branch. Soon we will make available a package to test the refactoring branch.
I see, but what’s about appimage? will it be annonsed?
or is it a way to test latest kdenlive version in ubuntu?
PS! I am java dev, but if I can help, I would, how it can be done?
the new release kdenlive-17.08.1-x86_64.AppImage can be uploaded.
But it’s a bug : no sound
Thanks
Me neither, no sound on 17.08.1.
It gave me this error: [consumer sdl_audio] SDL failed to open audio: No available audio device
However, sound works fine on 16.12.2.
