The first Kdenlive Café after the release of the refactored code will be held this Tuesday 7th of May at 9PM CEST. We will dedicate the first slot of the meeting to listen to the community’s reaction and answer any doubts or issues you might have. As usual we’ll be at #kdenlive on IRC and the Kdenlive Telegram group.
See you!
I think v.19.04 was released prematurely. It has issues. Also the cosmetics of the timeline for audio is awful. It’s hard to see where to cut. I did see that the in/out points were fixed, thanks.
It takes me about twice as long to do the same job in 19.04 as it did in 18.03.1. The new version also seems sluggish on my i7 laptop. The older version was not.
After the next major release I’ll review it for my YouTube channel I do think the new version is promising, just needs a bit more work.
Hi please report the issues you experience so we can fix them. As we said in the release notes we published it to be able to test in in many scenarios. We are dedicating this cycle to finish polishing it.
Timeline audio is a big inconvenience. In the old version the scratch audio from my camera was in the video timeline with the footage.
Now, my scratch audio that I use for sync is in A1. When I try to add
video to V2, the new timeline wants to try to put the audio in A2. This prevents the clip from being added until you do something with the audio. I have to ungroup it, move it to A3 and make sure its in sync with its video component. The old way of doing audio was much better. I consider it a feature. The new way is an annoyance.
In the new version is the mouse wheel supposed to move the timeline playhead line? Mine doesn’t, however, in 18.03.1b it did move the playhead line forward/backward.
