And I can’t wait to see what 23.04.0 will bring on next month 🙂
It is going to be a game changer. Give it a spin with the nightly builds and let us know how it goes. Btw, we have a telegram and matrix groups if you’d like to join us. 😉
Dear Farid,
You are making me curious… I enjoy using Kdenlive for years and look forward to the next release!
Me too !
I tried rapidly the Build #516 to see what’s new inside. The first thing that jumped out at me is the “Sequences” folder in the Project Bin where we can add multiple other “sequences” inside.
No doubt about that it will be for the new Nested Timelines name 🙂 And only that will be a really game changer!
Second, we have some new icons based on the Kdenlive logo, which is nice.
And finally, I saw a “More options” button added in the clip and project monitors.
It will be a great release and I can’t wait to see the final result 🙂
Thank you very much! You’re by far the best!
Required two features
1. Compound clip
2. Silence pause remover
Silence detection see here: https://docs.kdenlive.org/de/effects_and_compositions/speech_to_text.html#silence-detection
So do I! Nested timelines?
Yes!
Thanks for all your hard work guys. I’ve tried all the free video editors, as well as a few chargeable ones, and it’s always Kdenlive that I choose to use.
Please please please can you see if you can fix the picture shift bug that I reported (https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=461999) in the next release. It’s the only thing that makes me switch to DaVinci.
posted this on “GERMAN” page:
Again no MAC OS Version? Download offers still 22.12.1. 🙁
As of reading this article you are working hard on subtitle features….
I wish you could give more effort in “MULTICAM” cut (e.g. ease of use, synchronizing more robust) and better “RENDER Menu” (i miss more tweaking options since latest versions)
Still: You are doing a great job pushing free and open software video editing so far!
THANK YOU
Humm, I see a MacOS version here: https://download.kde.org/stable/kdenlive/22.12/macOS/
The main Download page hasn’t been updated yet, but when you go behind the scenes, you find treasures 🙂
The test on a M1 was positive. I just updated the download page for Mac Kdenlive 22.12.3.
1. Compound/Adjustment Clip
Why not reserve a track and put your effects on that? You’ll still need a track for the Compound Clip anyway.
Crashes when I change preview monitor resolution on windows 11. For example, I changed the preview monitor resolution from 240p st 720p. It then froze and wasn’t responding. I’m running the current update and even after reinstalling it still crashes.
Edit: 240p to 720p
Code not available many languages.
So I need like audio wave based silence detect features ( like filmora)
always nice to have some bug fixes, but I really wish some optimizations were made.
Namely:
1 – pre-loading of followup parts while the current is playing. This means, while watching a part of the video in the editor, the next gets put in RAM(with all its chances and layers) so it wont lag upon load
2 – better usage of RAM/VRAM. Rendering a video wont even use 8GB of my RAM(got 16), and even less than that of my VRAM(got 12GB). Though I don’t know if this is a KDEnlive issue of ffmpeg’s, if it is kden’s then I’d love to see more stuff being sent to RAM/VRAM to improve render times
