I have a problem. I tried to make a fresh install and when I install app on my windows 10 latest version, I get asked to create a profile. Whatever I choose, app crashes.
I managed to install the app. Changed kdenliverc > to.old
How can I change the color of timeline slider – I am using dark theme and slider is black – hardly visible?
This issue is known. Found no solution so far to fix.
You can not make it white color?
I have a white color timeline!
It seems so that the Appimage is a debug version. Crashes with an assert(). Bug submitted.
In my system 20.8.2 works goodbut .20.8.03 crashes at startup
The beta version does not start. When trying to start in the terminal, it writes:
kdenlive-20.12-beta-x86_64.appimage: 1: Syntax error: “(” unexpected
(xubuntu 20.04)
Very true, 20.08.3 on ubuntu 20.04 doesn’t work, but the daily version (21.03.70) works fine.
hey, i have this green glitch on project monitor and clip monitor…do u know how to fix it,,,,i m using 21.03.70 version
Kdenlive appimage version 20.08.3 didn’t start on MX-Linux 19.3. I came back to version 20.08.2 and it run again.
In the terminal logs, the new version appears modules all blacklisted and a error with Radeon graphics.
I upgraded the appimage and now ‘run config wizard’ no longer detects VAAPI acceleration 🙁 it works fine on 20.08.2
Hi, the appimage of 20.08.3 and the beta build will not open on Manjaro for me, after showing the “welcome” window, it will close automatically. Running it from console I can see it hangs on some OpenGL initialization. The daily appimage build will open without any issues. Windows version of 20.08.3 will work also (on Windows 10).
Hello! The kdenlive-20.12-beta-x86_64.appimage file does not start. There are no problems with the rest of the versions.

Appimage won’t launch on Linux Mint 18.3 and Linux Mint 20.
Appimage version 20.08.3 doesn’t work with Ubuntu 20.04. Crashes with: Failed to create OpenGL context for format QSurfaceFormat
However, version 20.08.2 works fine.
Thank you all for reporting. All 2 Appimage (20.08.3, 20.12.0rc) have the same issue with OpenGL. Working on it. Maybe you can help testing: https://invent.kde.org/multimedia/kdenlive/-/issues/850#note_143793
My installation of this update on windows 10 is causing me issues. Every driver is up to date and I seem to keep running into an odd issue.
As the timeline moves the audio sounds all jumbled, always in a similar if not identical pattern, and the video preview stutters. Ive heard it about a hundred times and it sound like an auctioneer trying to buy my computer. Along with this moving the timeline backwards causes the video preview to move forward, in a skipping way, but it’s faster than regular playback so you could end up seeing video an hour in, and only be at minute 10. I can’t find a solution online and have not experienced such problems with previous versions. Rolling back to 20.08.02 fixed this issue. I run an AMD 3600X RX480 on a Asus B550-E
Please try with Windows_Nightly_Build to see if that happens as well. Use the standalone version with ending 7z so you don’t have to install it.

All WIndows buttons on the download page don’t do anything for me. It says it’s connecting but doesn’t start the download. What could possibly be the problem?
Managed to download it by right-clicking on the button and just copy-pasting the link address to a new tab.
Which browser do you use?
Great product! Thank you all who made this possible. 20.08.3 isn’t starting but I’m not missing much so sticking with 20.08.2 until next release.
the newest looks good

Download link for the AppImage 20.08.3b is updated.
Where is the Motion Tracker?
I have a problem with Project monitor. When I open kdenlive picture inside is bigger than monitor area, preview resolution is 1:1. If I change project settings to another resolution and back to my original, picture inside Project monitor fits inside again. This happens every time I open kdenlive 20.08.3, windows 10 latest version.
Does it happen on 20.08.2 as well? You can download the old version from here: https://files.kde.org/kdenlive/release/
Previous version was ok, thank you.
Sorry for wrong information. It was a while since I was using kdenlive. I tested 20.08.1-3 and daily build and always the same problem. Latest working version for me reall concerning this issue was 19.12.3
Great editor!
Request for program improvement. Add so that when you change the length of the clip, the monitor window displays the image of the frame on which the mouse pointer is currently located. This is done in other editors. This greatly speeds up editing time. Thanks for your hard work.
Thank you for the input. This is on the to-do list and will come with the advanced trimming tools like rolling.
Videos and images do not show preview when choosing them on the “Add Clip or Folder.” Even after selecting the option “Show Preview” it still only displays the video name and the Play icon.
Please see this matter.
Thank you for this amazing NLE
It will be good to set and mark different parts of a same video on the Clip Monitor in case we need to choose specific parts of the video and go back to them whenever we need. For example: choose seconds 5 to 15, 30 to 41, and 56 to 59. Then when selecting the video on the Project Bin it will show these three or more selections in case we need to use them again. Also include a way to edit these selections to increase or decrease their timings.
Thank you for your amazing work 🙂
Testing on the 20.12.0_RC7, vidstab effect is missing from the effect list, which I heavily use. Can it be included also? If not, I would suggest to upgrade the stabilization feature (reached from the project bin) with possibility to create proxy for a stabilized.mlt file. Thank you!
the new version works but position and zoom doesnt work for me. its supposed to show a red plus in the middle or smth so that i can use it to move the video instead of always changing the coordinates, but it doesnt show that. any help?
Thank you for adding 5.1 audio support!
I would love to see the audio waves in fine detail when zoomed in at the maximum zoom for better audio cutting and editing. Right now they look flat waves when zoomed in.
Thank you and Merry Christmas 😀
to my previous comment: Please disregard,
I see the same issue with 20.08.1. Must be an issue with my clip, probably
