Can’t launch since 22.04.3 (AppImage)
It says:
“Kdenlive crashed on last startup.
Do you want to reset the configuration files ?”
I click “Yes”. After a few seconds splash window disappears, nothing happens. I launch it again. The same thing appears 🙁
This happens since we changed the packaging to craft. On which OS do you are.
Linux 5.4.0-125-generic
Mint 20, Cinnamon 4.6.7
Intel© Pentium© CPU B970 @ 2.30GHz × 2
O know it’s pretty old stuff )))
Probably the new machine/compilation flow enables advanced instructions (SSE3/AVX) that your CPU doesn’t support…
No. The same version of Kdenlive installed via flatpak runs without any problems (Windows version too). So no, it’s not a processor issue.
+1
Did you try to delete all configuration files remaining on your system before a new launch?
All configuration files are listed here: https://community.kde.org/Kdenlive/Configuration
Yep, nothing changed…
Thank You
I have exactly the same problem as Roman 🙁
AppImage on Linux Mint 19.3
I noticed that on the Kdenlive PPA, the builds for versions 22.08 and 22.08.1 failed for Ubuntu 20.04.
Does anybody know if it will be fixed or marked as unsolvable? I am interested in the .deb files, not in the Appimage or Flatpak formats.
Thanks in advance.
Thank you very much for this release!
Everything looks good and works smoothly on my side with the AppImage (OpenSuse Tumbleweed).
When will KdenLive get GPU Acceleration support on Windows? I use both Linux and Windows, but I really would like GPU acceleration on Windows considering I don’t have the full version of DaVinci Resolve.
You already have some encoding support for rendering. We hope more improvements land in the coming future. One of the tasks of the fundraiser is to further optimize this.
22.08.1: same clip having “mix” transitions on both ends cannot have them in the same direction, one must be reversed. Very bad bug 🙁
Upgrade from 22.04.1 to 22.08.1
– Configuration dialog don’t work in some places:
1)
“project defaults” tab = Cant check “custom project folder…” and “use parent folder…” together. If i manualy edit kdenliverc and set “customprojectfolder=true”+”defaultprojectfolder[$e]=…” then checkboxes will disabled in the UI and i cant change it.
2)
“enviroment tab”->”default folders”->”folder for rendering…” = This option has no effect, except value “use custom folder”, but i want have rendering result in the project folder and it not my case. Old bug return – default renderng folder is NOT project folder (…/cachefiles) – it is a parent folder. And anytime i have risk rewrite source project file with render result.
3)
If i create subtitles, then i MUST burn or embend it ? Why i see in the render dialog checkboxes for video & audio rendering, but cant TURN OFF subtitles?
+ container and file extension is separated in the render profile now
+ real render time now showing during this process
– why kdenlive permanently rewrite path to configuration folders and change relative paths to absolute path?
Hi Farid,
I use KdenLive to edit social media content.
I’m a technical writer. I need your guidance on KdenLive Documentation contribution.
Where can I contact you?
Thanks.
Thank you for asking. You can join us on matrix via #kdenlive-manual:kde.org there we can guide you.
I love your program and have been following it for a while, but I am not a professional
And I hope that the program (and other free and open source programs) will also be the easiest and most used, and this requires ease for all users, especially non-professionals (because professionals can buy the program they want)
Therefore, I hope and suggest (the ease, simplicity and flexibility of the program)
suggested:
1- Add selection with the mouse to an area that I want to cut easily Example:
https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/108882090/193619589-18309855-b639-4601-9b5b-849979073a80.mp4

2- Add features flexibly **”Especially if you have more than 2000 small videos”** like (Some videos need simple editing such as crop / speed / moving one place to another
Therefore (for example) I want to show in my interface (these additions only) possible to do a checkbox next to (crop) or any way to add the tool to the interface only.
3- Adding multiple parts to the edit “especially if you want to produce and divide this amount of videos…. for example, I will find (personal / sports / funny / dramatic / educational parts (and their words are embedded in other videos and so on)).”
**LIKE VIDEOpad video 2 Multi sequence and can rename and cut from any sequence and past in any other **
3- 1- any sequence has a specific folder and save in (bookmark folders) like (if sequence = sports SO sport time line export in “like” c:…….\sports\ .
the sound of the video playing in the timeline is constantly popping and distorting. It sucks when you speed up the video with the “L” key. not stable
AppImage 22.08.1 is not working in both Linux mint 20.3 and 21 (real machine) also not working on MX 21.2 KDE (virtual machine)
Flatpak version is working, but with bugs like enlarged screen and fixed windows.
AppImage 20.12.0 is working fine
